Jim Dail Steel, 67, of Damascus passed away on May 27, 2019 at his home. He was born on March 14, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to Theron and Virginia Steele.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theron and Virginia Steel; brother, Robert Lee Steele; and ex-wife Mary Elizabeth Humphreys.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Kaye Moss (Jim); sister-in-law, Jo Ann Steele; and his nieces and nephews.
Jim worked in the heat and air business. He loved living in the country, working the land and spending time admiring the beauty of nature.
He had a soft heart for animals and didn’t turn away any that needed help. That’s how he acquired five dogs, a horse and a donkey. Jim will truly be missed by all of us. His memorial will be private.
