Jimmie Acklin

Jimmie Charles Acklin 81, of Vilonia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 6, 2016.
He was born on September 3, 1934 in Holland, Arkansas to the late Clyde Acklin and Thelma Grisham Acklin.
Jimmie owned an antique store in Eureka, California. He felt God calling him into the ministry and he moved his family to Arkansas
to go to school and pastor. Jimmie retired as pastor of Holland Baptist Church.
He is proceeded in death by his siblings, Hazel Cochran, Edwin Acklin, Edna Brown and Patsy Goode.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Jean; daughter, Larna Humble and husband Daniel of Brinkley;
son, Steve and wife Laura of Little Rock; grandchildren, Jonathan Humble, Jeffrey Humble, Kara DiCarlo and husband Vince,
Rachel Eckles and husband Clark and Wesley Acklin; great grandson, Henry Humble; sister, Barbara Buerer
and host of other family and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday June 9, 2016 at Oakland Cemetery, Holland, Arkansas;
with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating.
