John Douglas Baker Sr., 91, of Conway, Arkansas passed away on June 11, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 27, 1931 to Louis Baker and Ruth (Abenschein) Baker.
He met his wife at college in New Mexico. The family moved around while dad worked as a pharmaceutical representive, electrical lighting business consultant and retired as a Librarian at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ruth Baker; wife, Mary Baker; brother, Don Baker; and sons, Bruce Baker and Paul Baker.
Survived by children, Fred (Cindy) Baker, Ann Marie Baker, Kate Schuett, Chris Baker, Patricia (Bobby) Wilkerson, Teresa Forsyth, Peter (Missy) Baker, Blanche (Greg) Matheny, Maggie (Ben) Wilson, Aggie Garner, John (Jessica) Baker Jr., Chad (Kelly) Baker, Bill (Wendy) Baker; 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
There will be a small private family gathering at a later date.
