John Kenneth David Smith, 80, of Greenbrier, AR, was welcomed through the gates of Heaven on Friday, February 23, 2018. He was born in Fort Riley, KS to the late William and Rachel (Shook) Smith. John was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim Smith.
John spent his life in pastoral and missionary work reaching out to strangers and those around him to do what God had called him to do by telling others about Jesus.
John is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Terri Zachary Smith, brother Bob (Estelle) Smith of Conway, AR; sisters Nita Collie of Bartlesville, OK, Margie Moix of Conway, AR, Betty Cates of Sheridan, AR; his cherished children, Kevin (Beverly) Smith of Slidell, TX; Ami (Bobby) Cunningham of Copperas Cove, TX, Donna (Fred) Peters of Claremore, OK; Ashley (Richard) Price of Conway, AR; Lindsey (Jason) Dill of Conway, AR; Wade (Brandi) Smith of Destin, FL; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and many of other friends and family.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, February 26, 2018 at Bishop-Crites in Greenbrier. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.
