Joseph Ryan Blair, 41 of Greenbrier Arkansas went to spend his eternal life with Yahweh on March 6th, 2025. “Ryan” was born on December 3rd, 1983, to parents Joseph and Terry Blair.
Ryan’s untimely, tragic passing was unfortunately publicized for the whole world to see, but he was so much more than what he was portrayed to be.
Ryan was a son, father, brother, uncle, grandson, grandpa, and friend to many. He was smart, funny, kind, talented, witty, handsome, full of tattoo’s that were who he was and part of his testimony, but most of all he was a child of Yahweh. His family can rest a little easier knowing he is finally at peace in heaven.
Ryan was 4.0 GPA holder at Philander Smith College and on the Presidential list last year. Which was a huge accomplishment for him. Ryan knew his bible from front to back and spent many years spreading his word to the lost all the while being a little lost himself. He had a passion for music, and was a very talented singer, song writer and guitarist. He loved to write songs for his family and friends and performed living room concerts for everyone. Ryan enjoyed “rough housing” and picking on his nephews every chance he got. Ryan loved his dog Rosco, even when he accidentally on purpose ate Ryan’s leftovers. His heart was pure, and the St. Jude Children’s Hospital commercials always got to him. He donated what little money he had to them several times.
Ryan and his mother shared an indescribable bond and an unconditional love between the two of them. They always expressed to each other how much they loved each other. She was truly his best friend. He loved his daughters with everything he had, and they will all spend the rest of their lives with a missing piece in their hearts.
Unfortunately, Ryan spent the majority of his life dealing with his mental health and in the life of addiction. Addiction to help “cure” his mental health, because the medication never helped. After losing his dad 4 months ago, his mental health spiraled out of control. Addiction and mental health however doesn’t define the amazing person he still was despite of them.
Ryan has now joined his dad, Joe Blair, grandparents Bernard and Leota Blair, and Barbra Watkins. His aunt, Laura and uncle, Jack.
Left to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Terry Blair; his wonderful stepmom, Emily Blair; two sisters, Lacey (Ryan) Wilson, Sarah (Tim) and brother, Dalton (Bailee) Blair. Daughters, Shaylee and Anna; granddaughter, Juniper; seven nephews; papa, James Watkins, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at The Castle in Guy, Arkansas with Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating and burial following to Copperas Springs Cemetery.
