Joseph Eugene Henry, 24, of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 19, 2024. He was born May 23, 2000, to Samantha Thompson and Jason Henry of Greenbrier, Arkansas.
Joesph attended Greenbrier Public Schools and was involved in several sports, including football, baseball and basketball, alongside his little brother, Noah. His favorite sport though was track. Noah says he loved to run! He finished his education at Guy-Perkins High School. In his adulthood he was a Machine operator at Mercer alongside his brother Noah. Joseph and Noah had a very close bond and brotherhood from their childhood into their early adult years.
Growing up you could catch Joseph fishing in his Papa’s ponds, hunting, riding his dirt bikes and 4- wheeler or out in the yard with his dogs being a rough and tumble boy. He met his high school sweetheart, Kaytie Holliman, at 16. They were together for 8 years. As an adult he was a hard worker, but he was also a devoted boyfriend to Kaytie, an amazing dad to Axel, the best big brother and took on the new title of Uncle to Booker. It was unmistakable that he was a mama’s boy! He always made it apparent how much he cherished her and their relationship.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norman Henry, Robert Floro and Roberta Floro. He is survived by his grandmother, Mary Henry, grandmother, Charlotte Floro, father, Jason Henry and wife Leah and sister Paisley, mother, Samantha Thompson, brother, Noah Henry and wife Brooke and their son, his nephew, Booker, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. To know Joseph was to love him. He had a contagious smile and was a friend to all.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
Funeral service will be 10:00am on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
Private luncheon for the family to follow the service at the Greenbrier Event Center in Greenbrier, Arkansas in the upstairs room.
