God called home one of his own, Judy (Hall) Smith 81 of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025.
Judy was born September 6, 1943, to Willard & Hester Hall of Damascus, Arkansas, where she resided until she graduated from Southside High School. She then went on to attend Central Baptist College in Conway until taking a position at Conway Human Development Center in their Occupational Therapy Department in 1964 where she used her knowledge and talents to help physically and mentally challenged and handicapped individuals. While continuing to work she completed her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Central Arkansas and obtained her license from the Arkansas State Medical Board as a registered Occupational Therapist in 1977. Judy was promoted to Chair of the Occupational Therapy Department where she continued until her retirement after more than 30 years of dedicated service. She was admired not only for her accomplishments as a therapist but for her life of faith, commitment, leadership, and service, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew her.
She was a woman of faith, a source of strength, and a godly example, showing unconditional love and unwavering devotion as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend. She was a truly incredible person whose selfless actions and kindness left a huge impact on all who knew her.
Her love of the outdoors, and active nature led her to enjoy her retirement years by raising cattle on her family farm in Damascus Arkansas.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Hall and Hester (Rimmer) Hall; Husband William “Lynn” Smith and Granddaughter RieAnna Nicole Stone. Judy is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Hicks) Stone, of Greenbrier, Arkansas and JerrieAnn (Hicks) Kneisler (Alvin), of Montgomery, Texas; Grandchildren, R. Nicholas Stone (Kennedy) of Conway, Arkansas, Luke Smith of Conroe, Texas, and Jacob Smith of Cypress, Texas and Step-Granddaughter, Robin Jones of Conway, Arkansas; Sisters, Ellen Smith (Steven), of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Deanie Riddle (Charles) of Martinville, Arkansas, and Patsy Morris, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and First Husband Jerry Hicks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home with burial following at Spires Cemetery in Damascus, Arkansas where she will be laid to rest. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Stone, Luke Smith, Jacob Smith, Matthew Smith, Jeff Riddle, Chris Riddle, Alvin Kneisler & Brian Waddle.
