Karen Janette Williams Beene, 68, of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed away on February 28, 2022. She was born in Enola, Arkansas on January 28, 1954, to the late Bill Pat Sturgeon and Emily Lucille Atkinson Sturgeon.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Loretta Barnes, Joyce Compton, Bill Sturgeon, Walter Sturgeon; Darlene Givens. She is also preceded in death by Jackie Williams and Toy “Buddy” Beene.
Karen enjoyed laughing and cooking. She made the best meat loaf and fried chicken. In her younger days, you would find her cleaning house while listening to her records of George Jones and Conway Twitty. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and taking road trips. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ, her lord and savior.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Tamela (Trevor) Douglas of Mayflower and Donna Williams of Conway; son, Junior (Jessica) Upchurch of Greenbrier; four grandchildren, Jeri-Lyn (Dylan) Watts of Greenbrier, Lizzie Reams of Vilonia, Lonna Reams and Leah Reams of Conway; three great grandchildren, Ellie Watts, Madalyn Watts, and Grant Watts of Greenbrier; two siblings, Randy (Vonda) Compton of Conway, Alfred Sturgeon of Iowa; as well as a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 1075 Hogan Ln, Conway, AR 72034, from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2022
