Lacie Lea (Logan) Thomas passed away on Tuesday, September 15th at the age of 48 in Conway Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on December 11, 1977, Lacie grew up in Ida (Cleburne County) Arkansas and attended Heber Springs Public Schools where she graduated in 1996. She was known for her beautiful smile, caring demeanor and sense of humor.

She attended the University of Central Arkansas, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Development and a Masters of Science in Education. While at UCA, she was an active member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Her great love of children led her to a career in teaching in the Pangburn and Greenbrier School Districts. She would spend her last years at the Mt. Vernon/Enola School District, retiring in May 2026. She cared deeply about her students and built strong and meaningful friendships with her coworkers. While she loved teaching in the classroom, she especially thrived as a reading interventionist. This work was far more than a career to Lacie—it was a passion and a calling. She believed in her students, championed their strengths, and celebrated every step of their progress.

Over the years, she built a life centered on family, friends, and faith. She married her husband Scott in 1999. He was the love of her life and best friend. Lacie’s greatest legacy is her sons, Perry and Parker. She was the ultimate “boy mom” and her home was always full of laughter, activity, and adventure. Her desire for a daughter was fulfilled in 2025 when Perry married Alexa Medina. The marriage solidified a new family unit they lovingly nicknamed the “Tfam5.” Lacie was an accomplished cook and an invitation for dinner always ended with some incredible scratch made dessert. She was an avid movie watcher, domino player, and loved her two dogs Creed and Greta. For Lacie, time together mattered. Telling stories, laughing, sharing meals, and making memories with the people she loved was her currency and in that, she was wealthy.

She leaves behind her husband, Scott Thomas of Greenbrier, sons Perry (Alexa) Thomas and Parker Thomas of Greenbrier, parents Marvin & Sherrie Logan of Ida, brothers Brian (Sherry) Logan of Drasco, and Darrin (DeAnna) of Greenbrier, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Lacie's love for Jesus defined her life. Her faith wasn't just something she believed; it was the foundation on which she lived each day. The most important decision of Lacie's life was placing her faith in Jesus Christ as a child. Her relationship with Christ shaped the way she loved, served, encouraged, and cared for others.

Even cancer could not take away Lacie's hope in Jesus. If anything, the journey deepened her faith. Through difficult days and uncertain moments, Lacie continued to trust the Lord and hold firmly to the hope she had in Him. Her life was a beautiful testimony that even when circumstances are difficult, God's faithfulness remains.

Lacie's extended family and friends will remember her for her loyalty, kindness, genuine love for others, and her desire to help those around her enjoy life's simple blessings. She had a way of making people feel seen, loved, and valued. Her presence brought warmth and joy to many lives.

Please join family and friends in celebrating Lacie's life and honoring her memory at a visitation held Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Wilcox Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
