Loren Eugene Smith

Loren Eugene Smith, 73, of Damascus, passed away on June 14, 2018. He was born July 23, 1944 in Sterling, Colorado to the late Kenneth Eugene Smith and Ellen Ruth Smith. He was a Unites States Army Sergeant Veteran of 20 years. Loren was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Loren is preceded in death by his parents; brother Douglas Smith; and son Micheal Smith.
Loren is survived by his wife of 49 years, Katherine Smith; sister, Barbara (Fred) Stayrook; two sons, Steven (Kara) Smith, and Zachariah (Jeanette) Smith; two daughters, Andrea (Jay) Huff, and Samantha (Josh) Edwards; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of many friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier, AR on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Service will be Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:00AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Quitman with Bishop McKinney officiating. Graveside will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00AM at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
