Lowell Haskell “Pops” McClendon, 83, of Bee Branch, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2026. He was born in Washington, OK on October 8, 1942, to Evert and Lola McClendon.

Lowell was a devoted husband, proud United States Marine Corps veteran, and faithful servant of God, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. His life was defined by service, kindness, hard work, and an unwavering willingness to help others.

Lowell honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. His military service reflected the courage, dedication, and selflessness that continued to define the way he lived for the rest of his life.

On June 16, 2007, Lowell married the love of his life, Vivian. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Though they came together later in life, Lowell never considered Vivian's children to be his stepchildren. He loved them as his own, and they were blessed by his guidance, support, and unconditional love.

A faithful member of Flat Rock Community Church in Quitman, Arkansas, Lowell's faith was the foundation of his life. He believed in treating others with kindness, lending a helping hand whenever it was needed, and living each day with humility and compassion. He never met a stranger, and anyone who knew him could count on him for encouragement, advice, or simply a helping hand.

Lowell found his greatest joy in the simple things. He loved spending time tending his garden, working in his woodworking shop, operating his sawmill, raising rabbits, and caring for his beloved dog, Roxie. Whether building something with his hands or sharing the fruits of his garden with others, Lowell took pride in honest work and found happiness in providing for those around him.

Above all else, Lowell will be remembered for his enormous heart. He was generous with his time, his talents, and his love. His legacy is not only found in the things he built but in the countless lives he touched through his kindness, compassion, and servant's heart.

Lowell's life was one of faith, honor, hard work, and unconditional love. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort knowing he is at peace and reunited with those who have gone before him. His legacy of generosity, service, and love will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him.
