Lucy Loraine Allen

Lucy Loraine Allen, age 95, went home to the Lord on Saturday, February 19th, while at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation facility. She was born April 18, 1926, in Monticello, AR to Charles and Lettie Burnett. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God church in Monticello, AR.
Lucy was a beautiful lady who took pride in her appearance. She did her hair and makeup everyday and always had matching jewelry and nail polish. She also loved to sing and dance.
She worked for Burlington Industries for 21 years as a carpet machine operator and traveled abroad training others. She enjoyed crafting and serving in the Drew County Extension Homemaker’s Club in her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, William Lawrence Allen. She is survived by her son Larry Allen of Greenbrier, AR; granddaughter De De (Hugh) Alexander of Greenbrier, AR; grandson Jimmy (Korenda) Allen of Centerton, AR; “MeMaw” to great-grandchildren Jarrett Alexander of Houston, TX; Justin (Erica) Alexander of Conway, AR; Kloie Kennon of Fort Smith, AR; Kolton and Keaton Kennon of Centerton, AR; great-great-grandmother to Harrison and William Alexander of Conway, AR.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Bishop-Crites Funeral home.
