Lura Beltz was born January 8, 1938 on the farm near Grove
Springs, Missouri. She went to be with Jesus on May 28, 2011. In
1958 her and her spouse Gene Beltz moved at Alaska and raised 3
children. Lura loved Alaska, and always looked forward to the
numerous fishing trips. Mrs. Beltz worked as a beautician, and was
owner of her own salon. She moved to Arkansas in 1993.
She went to work at Hendrix College in 1995 where she retired in
January 2009. Lura loved life, family and especially her great
grand babies. Lura always had a sweet smile and a sweet spirit.
Lura was a devoted mother, loving sister and aunt, and a kind and
caring neighbor and friend.She will be lovingly remembered and
greatly missed. We celebrate her life and accomplishments, and will
forever hold dear the memories she created for her family and many
friends. She will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts
forever.
She was born to the late Frank Mullins and Ethel Faye Stark
Beasley.
In addition to her parents and stepfather Elmer Beasley she is
preceded in death by her husband Paul Gene Beltz, brothers Raymond
Beasley, Everett Beasley, Norman Beasley Hayden Beasley and Dale
Beasley.
Survivors include son Rick Beltz of Fairbanks, Alaska, daughters
Reita Johnson of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Shonie Beltz of Fairbanks,
Alaska, sisters Fern Beltz of Cabool, Missouri, Lillian Woods of
Olathe, Kansas, Violet Jones of Norfork, Virginia, brothers Doyle
Beasley of Houston, Missouri and Leland Mullins of Missouri. Other
survivors include 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren along
with a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday June 2 from 5 pm to 7pm at
Greenbrier Church of Nazarene with services immediately following
at 7pm. Brother Jim Sanders will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greenbrier Church
of the Nazarene for Care Caps.
