Marilyn Reba Koone of Greenbrier Arkansas passed away in her home on November 16, 2022 peacefully while surrounded by her family.

Marilyn Reba Koone was born in Limestone Arkansas November 2, 1936. She grew up in Herculaneum Missouri where she graduated from Herculaneum High School.

It was there in a little league ballpark she met a young Cleon Koone in 1953. A year later they were wed on July 3, 1954. That was the beginning of a 68 year journey that took them to Indiana, Illinois, Texas, Conway and finally settling in Wooster Arkansas.

Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, a fun grandmother and she also adored her great grands. She was employed with Faulkner County Extension Service, and she worked in the FHA office in Conway before she retired. She also enjoyed fishing, was key in putting up food from the garden, she grew lots of plants on the back porch and loved her church lady friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ernest Plummer and Ola Nixon, her sister Barbara Helms and Charles Plummer.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years Cleon Koone of Wooster Arkansas. They raised 4 sons Mark Koone (Donna) of Cleveland, AR, Terry Koone (Jackie) of Monticello, AR, Michael Koone of Wylie, Texas and David Koone (Michelle) of Conway. She has six grandchildren, Kevin Koone (Shea) of Dongola Illinois, Kristen Marter (husband) in Monticello, Melanie Bradford (Matthew) of Vilonia, Steven Koone of Monticello, Kayla Harrod (Carl) of Greenbrier, Owen Koone (Jenna) of Greenbrier and great grands, Dessie McCarty, Grant Pruitt, Brayden Bussell, Madison Bussell, Flint Koone, Jansen Koone, Beckett Koone, Ava Harrod and Shelby Koone.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Greenbrier Church of Christ.

Funeral will be on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 10:00am on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Greenbrier Church of Christ with burial following to Bethlehem Cemetery. Glen Elliott of the Greenbrier Church of Christ will be officiating the services.
