Marilyn Lou Quattlebaum, 75, of Houston, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born on October 5, 1948, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, to the late Jimmie Edward Marr and Swanie May Capps Marr.

Throughout her life, Marilyn held various jobs at Virco, Baldwin Piano, and the Boat Factory. However, her greatest joy came from working as a housekeeper/caregiver at Trillium Senior Living, where she cherished the close bond, she formed with the residents.

Marilyn was passionate about spending time outdoors and tending to her flowers. She most enjoyed going to her daughter Terri's house and sitting on the back porch to watch birds and enjoy the sun. She loved going on long rides on dirt roads and having weekend rides on side-byside with her husband Bear and family.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Edward Marr and Swanie May Capps Marr, her twin sister Carolyn Sue Deeden, her brother Larry Edward Marr, and her nephew Troy Edward Bradway.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Barry Quattlebaum, of 39 years. She is also survived by her two siblings: Linda Bradway of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Brenda Reese of Tavares, Florida. Additionally, Marilyn is survived by her three children: Larry Jr (Shelly), Terri Starkey (Jason), and Lonnie Owens. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Kevin Burkett, Shane Burkett, Cole Starkey, Courtney French, Jacob Owens, Joseph Owens, Laci Owens, and Casey Owens, as well as 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Casey Owens, Jacob Owens, Joseph Owens, Cole Starkey, Kevin Burkett, and Shane Burkett.

Graveside service will be at 11:00am on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Vollman Cemetery in Bigelow, Arkansas with Brother Larry Elmore officiating.
