Martha grew up in Springhill, Arkansas, the daughter of (parents listed above). She attended school in Greenbrier where she graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1958. Shortly thereafter, she married her high school sweetheart, Olvie Jerry Stewart on (date above). Martha and Jerry were married for almost 56 years until his passing in August of 2014. Together they had three children (listed above), four grandchildren (listed above) and four great grandchildren (listed above).
Martha worked at Walmart store #5 in Conway for nearly 25 years. She was known by many in the community in the Sporting Goods department, quick to offer a fishing tip and happy to share and listen to stories of hunting adventures, how someone’s kids were doing in baseball or football or help to find just what they needed.
Her true joy was spending time with family. She and Jerry spent countless hours attending band concerts, choir concerts and ball games for the kids, then later for her grandkids. Camping with the grandkids was a favorite pastime as well, where many fond memories were made.

After Jerry’s passing, Martha became a regular at the “Senior Center” (Ola and John Hawk’s Center) in Conway. She attended daily for several years and enjoyed the time with new and old friends. We thank them for providing such a warm and loving space for her there.

We would like to extend our most sincere gratitude to Martha’s care team at Hospice Home Care. They provided the most loving and kind care a family could hope for. A special thank you to Dee (Lorenzo the Crappie Queen) and Amelia.
