Mary Lou Brown, 91, of Greenbrier went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2026. She was born in Greenville, Michigan on March 27, 1935, to Frank Thalison and Helen Margaret Weeks.

Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, and hardworking woman whose life was centered around her family, her faith, and caring for those she loved. She married the love of her life, Shurley James Brown, on May 2, 1952, beginning a life together filled with memories, dedication, and family.

One of Mary’s greatest accomplishments was raising her five children. She devoted herself to making a home and providing for her family, always putting their needs first. She was a hard and dedicated worker throughout her life, showing through her actions the meaning of perseverance, sacrifice, and unconditional love. After raising her children, Mary Lou reached another important milestone by returning to school and earning her GED, a testament to her determination and willingness to keep learning.

Later in life, Mary became involved in her church and the senior citizens center, where she formed many friendships and enjoyed the fellowship of others. Though she was naturally shy, quiet, and more reserved, her gentle spirit and sweet, kind nature left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She may not have been the loudest person in the room, but her kindness spoke volumes, and she touched many lives in her own special way.

Mary also had a special talent for making amazing homemade bread, which she lovingly shared with family and friends. Her bread was more than just something delicious to eat; it was an expression of the love and care she put into everything she did. Those who were fortunate enough to enjoy it will always remember the warmth and thoughtfulness behind every loaf.

Above all, Mary was a woman of deep faith who believed in the Lord and carried her faith throughout her life. Her quiet strength, kind heart, and steadfast belief were important parts of who she was. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to family, friendship, and faith that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Mary will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her giving heart, her delicious homemade bread, and the love she shared through the simple but meaningful things she did every day. Her life was a beautiful example of faithfulness, dedication, and the lasting impact of a kind and loving soul.
