Mary Lois Herring Clark, went home, at the age of 94, to be with her Lord and a host of loved ones on January 28, 2021 at the Greenbrier Nursing Center in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Mary Lois was born December 16, 1926 to E.T. and Mary Herring of Quitman. Mary Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Doyne Clark, and two children who died at birth, Billy Doyne and Peggy Lois. She is survived by 3 sons, Richard Clark (Elaine) of Hot Springs, Bob Clark (Buneva) of Greenbrier, and Dennis Clark (Debbie) of Purcell, Oklahoma; two sisters, Willie Mae Karber of Little Rock and Ernestine Mauldin of Quitman; two brothers, Carrol Herring of Quitman and Burton Herring of Mobile, Alabama. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Conway. Mary Lois spent most of her life as a homemaker and several years as a cook for Central Baptist College. She loved serving others through her abilities to sew, cook, and make flower arrangements, but her greatest joy in life was her family.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 1, at 1:00pm at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Quitman. Any gifts or memorials may be made to Greenbrier Nursing & Rehab Center Activity Department.
