Matthew Wayne Adlong died January 15, 2018. Matt was born
June 5, 1959 in Abilene, Texas to Donald Wayne and Paula Ann
Adlong. The Adlong family moved to Conway in 1968 where Matt grew
up and graduated from Conway High School in 1977 and the University
of Central Arkansas in 1980. In 1982, he married his high school
sweetheart, Rosemary Lynch. In 1983, he graduated from the
University of Arkansas School Of Law in Fayetteville and began his
law practice in Conway, which continued until his death. Matt was
an Eagle Scout, Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow, former youth
baseball coach, and an avid sportsman and outdoorsman. He was a
Christian, former Sunday School teacher and member of Conway's
First Baptist Church. Matt is survived by his wife of 35 years,
Rosemary Adlong, son Luke Adlong (Alex), daughter Sally Schanandore
(Cole), parents Don and Paula Adlong, brothers David Adlong
(Tomile) and Andrew Adlong (Darla), father in law Dr. Audie Lynch,
brother in law Dr. Alan Lynch (Charlotte) and nieces and nephews
Amber Vandivor (Cameron and Zeke), Ashley England (Derrick), Justin
Adlong (Brittni Henry), Billy Lynch, Jacob Adlong and Joshua
Adlong. Special thanks is given to his legal secretary, Belinda
Miller, and to friend, Ron Hill. A celebration service will be 2
p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at Conway's First Baptist Church
with a visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, living memorials
may be made to Bethlehem House, Conway's First Baptist Church, or a
charity of your choice.
