Mattie Lillian H. Murphey, 91, of Hurricane, LA, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. She was born on Friday, December 14, 1923 in Call, Texas to the late Kenney R. and Lilly H. (Cox) Husley.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda LeMonie and husband Joe; son, Kenney R. Murphey and wife Lillie; sister, Murrell Jean Stewart and husband Richard; grandson, Kieth Murphey, great-granddaughter, Stephanie Golden and husband Ston; two great-granddaughters Alivia and Adalyn; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.B. Murphey; two sisters and a brother.
A visitation will be held 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier. A service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Rose Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia, LA with burial in Hurricane Cemetery in Claiborne Parish.
