Michael Wayne Cavin, affectionately known as Diddy, Michael Wayne, and Grumpy, passed November 29th at the age of 59. He was stubborn, hard working, and loved his family more than anything. Of all the names he was known by, Grumpy was his favorite. His daughter, Chelsey, referred to him as Diddy (which he really didn’t like but she relentlessly called him anyway). Michael Wayne was reserved for when he was up to something or in trouble. If you knew Mike, that was majority of the time. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh. The more he pestered you, the more he liked you.

Mike graduated from Lonoke High School in 1979. He was a jack rabbit of all trades. Over the years Mike was an auctioneer, oil rigger, bull rider, youth minister, home builder, a Wooster volunteer firefighter and first responder, and an amazing salesman. His latest career accomplishment was a promotion to General Manager at Truck Care Chemical and Supply.

When he wasn’t working, he was spending time with his wife of 35 years, Susan. They loved being by the pool on their deck, time spent with their kids and grandkids, and just being together.

Other than Grumpy, his next favorite titles were husband and dad. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Love) Cavin, three children, Chelsey Groh (Chris), Tyler Cavin (Sarah), Scott Cavin (Rachel), two grandchildren, his beloved sisters and brother, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Rose Cavin.
