Miles Ellis Gaither, 76 of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed away on March 2, 2022. He was born in Quitman, Arkansas on October 24, 1945 to the late Roy Oather and Ellen Gaither.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Oather and Ellen Gaither; wife, Barbara Jean Gaither; three sisters, Dean Kennedy, Lois Fowler Smith, Arlene Crafton Rowlett; one brother, Jerry Mack Gaither; two grandsons, Sawyer New and Lance Polk.
Ellis is survived by his two sons, Delane (Lesa) Gaither of Greenbrier, Chad Gaither of Heber Springs; stepdaughter, Shannan New of Quitman; stepson, Doug (Lisa) Stacy of Quitman; grandchildren, Jessica (Dustin) Tackett, Blake (Chelsea) Gaither, Paige (Kristian) Hogan; Cody (Haley) Savoie, Cole (Halisha) Stacy, Nikki (Colby) Swan, Seth (Austin) New; sixteen great grandchildren; brother, Deon (Karen) Gaither; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas
Funeral service will be at 2:00pm on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Howard General Baptist Church in Quitman, Arkansas with burial following to Center Point Cemetery.
