Naomi Layman Fairchild

Naomi Layman Fairchild, 87, of Olean, NY went to be with the Lord on December 9, 2025. She was born on September 26, 1938, in Hinsdale, NY, to the late Leslie and Mildred Layman.

Naomi loved gardening, reading, and writing to her family and friends. She has been a member of First Bible Baptist Church in Hilton, NY since 1969.

Naomi is preceded by her parents; her husband, Richard Fairchild Sr.; four brothers; and two sisters.

Naomi is survived by her son, Richard (Penny) Marsh, Raymond (Eden) Marsh, and Phillip Marsh; grandchildren, Jamie (Ian) Jacobs, Andrew Lyle Marsh, Jennifer (James) Diley, and Andrew John Marsh; great grandchildren, Cadence, Brennen, and Landon; niece, Bev Gattis (who has been like a sister to her); sweet friend and college roommate, Carolyn Byam; her wonderful caregiver, Melissa Hight; several other nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Visitation will be from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, December 19th at 3:00 pm at Oakland Cemetery in Holland, AR.
