Noel Hurd

Noel Lee Hurd, age 84 of Greenbrier passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 10, 2017. Noel was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on December 24, 1932 to Clyde and Clara Hurd. He is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Noel leaves behind his loving wife Martha of twenty four years. Children, Michelle McCann (John), Jeffrey Hurd, Noeleen Rothacker (Allen), Lisa Hogan (Larry), Larry Johnson (Reita), and Gary Johnson (Regina). Eighteen grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren. Noel proudly served his country in The United States Army from 1951-1953 and eight years in the Army Reserves. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1994. A viewing for Noel will be held at the Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene on October 12, 2017 at 1pm with services to follow at 2pm. Noel will be laid to rest at Thorn Cemetery in Greenbrier.
