Nolan Elmer Barden

Nolan Elmer Barden, 87, of Higden, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Conway, Arkansas. He was born on November 15, 1934, in Webber Falls, Oklahoma, to parents Louis Barden and Juanita Foster.
The Barden family moved from California in 1965, to the Sugar Loaf area of Greers Ferry Lake. Enjoyed many days fishing and swimming in the lake. Enjoyed many years at the Narrow’s Marina, then later for Cleburne County Motors Body Shop. In His earlier years, he worked in the gas and oil fields in Texas and California. He loved old cars and motorcycles.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Juanita. His mother that raised him, Myrtle Barden. Sister, Ruby Butler. Brothers, Dewey Markum and J. C. Markum.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Della Mae (Martin) Barden, two sons, Ricky Barden of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kenny Barden of Higden, Arkansas. One grandson, two great-grandson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Four brothers Louis Jr. and Charles Barden, of Higden, Arkansas, Dan and Darrell Barden of Greenbrier, Arkansas. Numerous nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
