Opal Lena Brown, 65, of Damascus, Arkansas passed away on April 26, 2023. She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on July 6, 1957 to Robert Lee Revels and Mary Hendricks Revels.
She is preceded by her parents, Robert Revels, and Mary Hendricks; brother, Albert Revels; and son, E.J. Brown.
Opal was a caretaker to all the kids and everyone she was around. She was funny in her own way and people who knew her knew that. She loved the outdoors and loved to fish and loved to eat her catch. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and loved Jesus and knew her savior. She loved singing when she could and spending time with her family and friends.
Opal is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Eugene Brown; daughter, Lisa Sliffe and boyfriend Robert Taylor; five grandchildren, Westley Barefoot, Karl Sliffe, Paul Sliffe, Tabitha Cooper, Alexis Brown; nine great grandchildren; five siblings, Randy, Carlinda, Connie, Debbie, Trina; many more family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:00am on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church in Quitman, Arkansas.
Funeral will be at 10:00am on Monday, May 1, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church in Quitman, Arkansas with burial following to Marcus Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, Westley Barefoot, Karl Sliffe, Paul Sliffe, Nick Brown, Billy Brown, Joe Brown, Steven Dale Thorn.
