Patricia Ann Arnold-Cotton
February 13, 1937 — May 4, 2023
Patricia Ann Arnold-Cotton, age 86, entered into Glory on May 4, 2023. She was born on February 13, 1937, to Bill and Louise Weaver in Batesville, Arkansas. Our sweet and loving mother was the light of our family. She taught us to love and honor the Lord. Her biggest joy was her family and she loved us with her whole heart.
At the age of 14, her family, with sister Charlotte (Cook), moved to Benton Harbor, Michigan, where she attended Benton Harbor High School. It was there where she met and married the love of her life, Jeffittee Wood Arnold. They married on May 1, 1955, and built their first home on Paw-Paw Lake in Coloma, Michigan. Later, they decided to take a big leap and moved to California. Dad was saved and became a General Baptist minister. He started several churches where she served faithfully by his side. After raising her family until her youngest, Stephen, was six years old, she started working for Hughes Aircraft. She worked in the soldering department working on several Apollo missions for NASA. She also worked for McDonald Douglass. Mom was a hard, dedicated worker who took pride in her work. When the family moved to Greenbrier, Arkansas she went to work for Baldwin Piano, where she was awarded employee of the decade. She attended LifeSong Baptist Church.
Our mother leaves behind her sister, Charlotte Cook of Inverness, Florida; daughter, Margie Glaudin, husband Carlos, and grandchildren, Joshua, Trevor, and Meghan of Hesperia, California, son, Bill J. Arnold, wife, Debbie, grandchildren, Johnny, Troy and Tiffany of Peedee, Arkansas, son, Timothy W. Arnold, grandchildren, Brandy and Hope of Greenbrier, Arkansas, son, Stephen Arnold, wife Angela, grandchildren, Stephanie of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Stephen of Moore, Oklahoma. She was blessed to have 18 great grandchildren.
Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Jeffittee W. Arnold, parents, Bill Logan Garfield and Jessie Louise Weaver.
Mother was graced with a kind, giving heart, and made many lifelong friends. She will be dearly missed and loved within our hearts. Visitation and viewing will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Wilcox Family Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at LifeSong Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Arnold, Steve Arnold, Stephen Arnold, Cody Andrews, Cayde Andrews, Dale Weaver, Rick Andrews, Danny Shock, Joshua Glaudin, Chad Darrow, and Trevor Glaudin.
