Paul Howard Broyles peacefully passed away at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans' Hospital on July 15, 2024. He was 77 years old.
Paul was born in Mountain View, Arkansas to Leonard and Era Broyles. He later became a long-time resident of Greenbrier, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and he also worked at Southern Paper Box and Rock Tenn, where he retired in 2010.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Era Broyles; brothers, Johnny Broyles, Conley Cummings, and Eugene Broyles; and sister Carolyn Whidden. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Doris Shannon Broyles; his children, Lana (Chris) Whitmore of Jacksonville, AR, Matt (Tracie) Broyles of Corsicana, TX, and Nathan (Amy) Broyles of Hot Springs, AR; his grandchildren Amaya Whitmore, Zoie Broyles, Cade Broyles, Ashley Whitmore, Parker Broyles, and Claire Broyles; his siblings James L. Broyles, Janice Brown, and Jimmy Broyles; along with many family and friends.
Paul was a devoted Christian, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Some of his greatest joys were spending time with his family, playing his banjo, riding his bicycle, and his morning trips to Cracker Barrel with his wife.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Wilcox Family Funeral Home in Greenbrier. The Funeral will be at 10:00am on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 61 Green Valley Drive, Greenbrier, AR, with interment following at Blue Mountain Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo, AR.
