Peggy Schulz

Peggy Joyce Schulz, age 81, of Greenbrier, went to be with the Lord, peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025. She was born May 2, 1944, in Greenbrier to the late Haze Roberts and Letha Robertson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Mary Harrington, George Roberts, Bob Roberts, Elwanda Garrigus, Ed Roberts, Larry Joe Roberts and Jerry Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her long-time friend, Jimmie Graham.

She attended Greenbrier High School and worked at Kimberly Clark. She was a member of LifeSong Baptist Church. She was the last surviving child of eight. Peggy was known for being a peacemaker in her family, always quick to give a hug. She was a hard worker to provide for her girls, teaching them to cook, clean, sew, manage money and be responsible. She was always there for all of her grandchildren’s sporting events. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Even after getting sick in 2012, she would light up when she saw her great grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters: Pam Cardin (Gary), and Dana Hargrove (the late Scott Hargrove); grandchildren: Nikki Felkins (Derrick), Jessi Brown (Mark), Nathan Cardin (Jamie), Holly Montgomery (Jeff); great grandchildren: Tucker Cardin, Carlie Cardin, Griffen Felkins, Aubrey Cardin, Hadley Brown, Colson Felkins, Easton Brown, Teddy Montgomery, and Ivy Montgomery; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A celebration of her life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home, with a brief memorial service at 6:30 p.m.
