Phillip Eugene Linn, age 70, passed away Wednesday, April 25,
2018, at his home in Damascus, AR after a short but mighty battle
with cancer. He was born June 6, 1947, to the late QT and Maxine
Linn in Damascus, AR. He was a graduate of South Side High School
and later joined the National Guard. He was an established dairy
farmer and feed salesman. After retirement, Phil began "working for
the government," claiming it was the best job he ever had. He
continued farming with his son. He possessed a remarkable talent to
fix stuff and enjoyed it (most of the time)! Some of the
things that brought him great joy were four-wheeling, camping and
telling tall-tales with his friends. Perhaps Phil's witty sense of
humor is what some may remember best. His famous response to most
requests was, "Yes, Dear!" He was preceded in death by his
parents. His survivors include his beloved wife of 13 years, Sue
Lee Linn of Onia, whom he affectionately called "Darling, Honey
Pie, Sweet Thing"; three children, Shannon Riner (Chris) of Conway,
Darren Linn (Dusty) of Greenbrier, and Clint Linn (Kallie) of Bee
Branch; two brothers Don Linn (Raye Jean) of Damascus and Steve
Linn (Kris) of Franklin, TN; two stepchildren, Ronnie Lee (Dawn) of
Onia, Regina Passmore (Kyle) of Onia; seven grandchildren, Casey
and Candyce Slayton of Conway, Dalton, Dillon and Daxton Linn of
Greenbrier, Logan and Lexie Linn of Bee Branch; four
step-grandchildren, Amber Smith (Derek) of Onia and Ryan Lee
(Chelsea) of Onia, Shelby and Peyton Passmore of Onia; four
step-great grandchildren, Trestyn and Westyn Smith of Onia, and
Sadie and Reed Lee of Onia; and a host of lifelong friends and
family. In honor of Phil's wishes, a memorial service will be held
Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00 am on his farm at the pond that
he loved so much. At Phil's request, "Wear your fishing clothes and
bring a chair (poles optional)". In lieu of flowers, the family
requests memories be written down for them to treasure.
