Ramona Sue Pinkston, 70, went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 27, 1955, in South Carolina to late Terance O’Keefe and Omia Pearl Hammer O’Keefe.
Ramona was a loving and caring woman who found her greatest joy in the people she loved most her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren and treasured every moment she was able to spend with them. Her family was her pride and joy, and the love she gave them will remain with them always.
Ramona had a special love for fishing, especially the many days she spent on the water fishing alongside her beloved husband. Those memories were precious to her, and the time they shared together will forever hold a special place in her heart.
Ramona dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She especially loved working in nursing homes and hospice, where her compassionate heart and caring nature allowed her to make a difference in the lives of countless people. Caring for others was more than a career it was a calling. She gave comfort, kindness, and compassion to those who needed it most.
Ramona will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her years of caring for others. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Though she is no longer here, the memories she created and the love she gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her family will forever cherish the time they had with her and carry her memory with them always.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Burl Dwayne Pinkston; sister, Terrie O’Keefe-Tittle; and brother, Thomas O’Keefe.
Ramona is survived by her kids, Angela Pinkston, Tina (Johnny Ray) Turner, Jason (Stephanie) Pinkston, Jeremy Pinkston, Josh (Katrina) Pinkston; grandchildren, Katherine (Shawn) Newkirk, HannaJo (Austin Cleaver) Pinkston, Brayden (Leah Moore) Pinkston, Dustina Pinkston, Jamine Pinkston-Lutz, Emily Pinkston, Jeb Pinkston; great grandchildren, Margo Pinkston, Arlo Newkirk, Roman Newkirk, Presley Lutz; brother, Michael O’Keefe; sister, Theresa O’Keefe; and a host of family and friends.
