Renee Yvonne Lawson, 64, of Greenbrier, AR, went to be with the Lord, holding her son’s hand on February 11, 2026. She was born on February 23, 1961, to the late Andrew and Jean Bootz in Des Plaines, IL.

Renee was the most loving mama there was. She got married young, had 5 kids; and immediately created the most beautiful life with them. She kept kids 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She loved kids and took them all in as family. Renee made a home for these kids; she made crafts, baked goodies, and had the best wholesome time. She never made a fuss about a mess; it was always making memories to her. She loved to collect the most random things; miniature tools, McDonald toys, beanie babies, ceramic bears, tiny antique glass bottles, decorative skulls/skeletons, anything with pink hearts and many other things that might have seemed a little useless to others. Renee loved monkeys; real or stuffed; she could truly see the beauty in anything. She loved going to the river and collecting fossils and rocks too. Renee truly made their family house a home; the most important thing to her was to be surrounded by her kids and grandkids.

She now joins her parents; her son, Shawn; an infant granddaughter; sister, Karen Wilson; and brothers, Duane Bootz and Allen Bootz.

Renee is survived by her children, Amber Clark, Natasha (Chris) Adkins, Chalice (Richard) Cotton; Charlene (Matt) Pike; daughter-in-law, Amanda Lawson; grandchildren, Cody Clark, Gavin Clark, Jackson Pike, Lainey Adkins, Caden Lawson, Carter Pike, and Richie Cotton; the father of her children, Billy (Dawn) Lawson; siblings, Joyce Reimann, Diane Linns, David Bootz, Wilma Gonce, Wayne Bootz, Sonia Rorer, and Lynne Huey; and multiple “adopted” kiddos she held near to her heart through all these years.

There will be a memorial service in her honor on Friday, February 20th at 7:00 pm, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
