Richard “Rick” Alan Crossno of Damascus passed from this earthly home on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from complications of an automobile accident on August 23, 2020.
He graduated from Guy High School in 1976 and entered the United States Army and left after the passing of his brother to return to his mother’s side. He was very proud of his military service and would love to talk about his experience. Rick was retired from Kimberly Clark. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and was active in masonry and past master of lodge 290 in Greenbrier. He enjoyed serving as the cook for the lodge and made many meals for his brothers.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
He was born to the late Nolen Eugene Crossno & Patsy Lane on July 10, 1958 at Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Mitchell Eugene Crossno and Michael Crossno.
He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Della Joan Crossno of the home; a son, Michael Hopper of Dallas, TX; daughters, Krista (Billy) Sweeney of Toledo, Ohio, Ricki Crossno of Conway; his mother, Patsy Lane of Greenbrier; a sister, Pattie Sutherland of Greenbrier; step children; Dana (Bill) Brown, Cecil (Lori) Harmon, Danny Joe (Amanda) Harmon all of Damascus, and Crystal (William) Fitzgerald of Greenbrier; 19 grandchildren, Monica (Andrew Sublett) Glenn, Cortney (Will) Ferrell, Zachary (Salena) Brown, Bradley (Kayla) Brinley, Erica (Steven French) Freeman, Zackery (Emily) Brinley, Brittany Harmon, Emily (Nathan) Walton, Danny Joe Harmon Jr, Bo (Erica Stewart) Harmon, Johnathon Freeman, Desirae (Trent Bell) Freeman, Catie Brown, Tommy Fitzgerald, Will Fitzgerald, Joseph Sweeney, Izzabella Sweeney, Gatlin Crossno, and Allison Thex; 14 Great Grandchildren, Tyler Rowell, Logan Glenn, Stormy Glenn, Emily Brinley, Remington Brinley, Titus French, Karson Harmon, Stella Harmon, Ryder Sublett, Monti Sublett, Grayson Brown, Knovalee Brinley, Gauge Ferrell, Jeremiah Harmon; sister-in-laws, Sue King of Damascus, Jeanette (Larry) Strack and Sandy Milam all of Conway; numerous other friends and extended family members along with two special nieces Micah (Dustin) Pearson of Vilonia and Becca Woods of Little Rock who were of special assistance during his hospital stay.
Services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Brother Mike Henderson officiating. Final interment will be at Holland Cemetery in Gravesville, AR. Visitation will be Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm for family members and friends from 6:00 pm– 8:00 pm at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home in Greenbrier, AR.
Pallbearers will consist of his son and grandsons.
