Richard Shockley
March 8, 1938 — June 21, 2014
Richard Lynn Shockley of Bee Branch, AR went to be with the Lord June 21, 2014. Richard was born March 8, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, Mo to Ivan and Maxine (Hughes) Shockley.
Richard worked at Sears Roebuck in Cape Girardeau, Mo for 17 years before becoming a partner in Service 4 Carwash and Capetown RV. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of Elks Lodge 639.
He retired to enjoy fishing on Greer's Ferry Lake and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sue (Reed) Shockley, 2 daughters Cheryl (Leroy) Schenimann of Jackson, Mo, Patty Stricklen of Bee Branch, AR, 2 sons Steve Shockley of Jackson, Mo, and Terry (Aprill) Shockley of Katy Tx. Also 10 grandchildren Lucas and Jacob Schenimann, Aaron (fianc� Sabrina Eaves) and Logan Shockley, Brett and Josh (fianc� Holly Irwin) LaForest, and Joe, Alec, Bryce, and Julia Shockley and 3 great-grandchildren Tyler, Fiona, and McKenzie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held Wed June 25 at 1:00 pm at Sugar Loaf pavilion at Greer's Ferry Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Richard's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Final internment will be in Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery near Greer's Ferry Lake.
