Richy Don Brooks, 61, of Benton Arkansas, left this Earth on Sunday July 7th, 2024. Richy was surrounded by his family as he took his last breaths here, and his first steps with his Heavenly Father.
Richy was born at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas where he grew up and attended McClellan High School. His senior year the family moved to Scotland, Arkansas, where he went on to graduate high school. Richy worked hard and had an accomplished career with Sherwin Williams automotive, where he would eventually retire after 30 years of service.
To know Richy, was to love Richy. He was going to have a good time and make everyone around him do the same. He could walk into a room full of strangers and leave with a room full of new friends. He had a big smile, a big heart, and a larger than life personality that impacted everyone he came in contact with.
Richy enjoyed hunting, music, heated games of acey-duecey, the beach, all significant weather events, and anything that involved family. Whether it was a vacation in Destin, or just walking around Home Depot, he was going to make it memorable because that's just who he was.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Lisa Brooks; Parents, Phil and Carolyn Caldwell; four children, Jason (Amanda) Brooks of Greenbrier, Justin (Felicia) Brooks of Conway, Brandon Dawson, and Danielle Majia both of Benton. Richy loved being “Papa Richy” to 9 grandchildren, Logan, Lilly, Lyndsey Nixon, Riley, Melody, Cruz, Maya, and Kaden; Richy is also survived by his siblings, brother Craig (Carla) Brooks, Sister Vicki Goodwin, Brother Scott (Jennifer) Caldwell; and a host of family and friends including all the family at the Terra Valley Country Club.
There will be a private celebration of life with some family in the future. The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayers, texts, and phone calls. It is evident he will be greatly missed by many.
