Robert "Bob" Smyers

Robert "Bob" Smyers, 93, of Greenbrier, Arkansas. Went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2016.
He was born December 21, 1922 in Dunkin, New York. To the late Emerson and Florence Lund Smyers.
Bob proudly served in the United States Army and worked with the 1012th Armored Treadway Bridge Company Construction.
Bob retired from a career with the civil service in tool purchasing and development.
He and Itha Lois loved to travel in there motor home, one of Bobs past time was working in his shop. Bob loved spending time with family and friends, Bob will be missed by all who knew him.
Proceeded in death by the love of his life, wife Itha; brothers, Eugene and Emmerson Smyers.
He is survived by his sons, Joel Emmerson and wife Linda of Muscatine, IA, Eugene Dale and Patricia of Hendersonville, NC.
and Jeffrey Scott and special friend Janis Huling of Goose Lake, IA.
Grandchildren Emily, Zachary and Elliot Smyers; great grandchild, Rose Dawn.
Special friends Eugene and Sandra Ellington, and a host of other family and friends.
The Family would like to offer a special thanks to the Visiting Nurses and Arkansas Hospice.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday March 12, 2016 at Mayflower Cemetery, Mayflower, Arkansas.
