Robert Stephen Grady

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert Stephen Grady, of Greenbrier. He left this life after struggling for a year and a half trying to recover from a stroke. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend. Stephen, 42, passed away at his home in Greenbrier.

Stephen was born on June 3, 1983, in Memphis,TN, to Robert F Grady and Mary Grady-Sternberg. He attended Guy Perkins High School. After graduation, Stephen proudly served in the United States Navy for four years, where he developed a strong sense of duty and honor.

Stephen was a kind and compassionate soul. He had a great sense of humor and could always make people laugh with his quick wit.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Robert F Grady; his paternal grandparents, Marveline and Murray Grady; and his maternal grandfather, Sidney Shaw.

He is survived by his grandmother, Mary Shaw, of Conway, AR; his mother, Mary Sternberg, and bonus dad, Dennis Sternberg, of Greenbrier, AR; a sister, Amber Jones (Casey), of Prairie Grove, AR; a sister, Denise French (Matt), of Rio Vista, CA; a niece, Scout Blythe French; a nephew, and name sake Grady Everett French; along with a multitude of friends. A Celebration of life will be at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
