Robert Stone,63, passed away suddenly in his home on October 23, 2024 in Greenbrier, AR.
Robert was born in Little Rock, AR to his parents, Clyde and Dorothy Stone. He grew up in Levy along with his siblings, Anne Wise (Bobby Wise), Carol McDonough (Bob McDonough), and two brothers who have predeceased him, Jim Stone and Joe Stone.
There were many years spent as a family running the Lucky 7 grocery store in Little Rock. Robert grew up learning the value of hard work and one of his first jobs was delivering groceries on his bicycle. He was blessed with the gift of gab that carried him throughout his years.
Robert later graduated from Old Main High School and was known to keep the strip through Levy hot, burning up and down the streets with the other “levy rats”. The numerous stories told leave us to know that he was loved by many and was blessed with some life long friends.
After high school and numerous adventures with his buddies he met his loving wife, Renee Stone. They spent 42 years together and raised two children, which he loved dearly, Heather Allison (Seth Allison) and son, Mathew Stone. He was a well loved grandfather and was proud to share many stories of his four grandchildren, Nathan Rooney, Shelby Rooney, Amberly Rooney, and Kennedy Allison.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who shared many hunting and fishing adventures with his family and close friends. He dedicated many weekends to camping, riding motorcycles, finding great diners and simply sharing his interest in the great outdoors. All of the good times, laughs and camaraderie will forever be dear to our hearts.
Robert was a member of the volunteer fire department in Sylvan Hills and Wooster. He was proud to serve those around him and respected by many. Robert was a man of many skills throughout his days, but worked mostly as an hvac technician in the blazing heat and cold making sure our homes had functioning heat and air.
Robert lived hard, played hard, and if he ever told you he loved you, he meant it! He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of life has been scheduled for 1pm on November 10th at Woolley Hollow Park in Greenbrier. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that any donations be made to his go fund me account at this time.
