Roger Hamilton

Roger Vaden Hamilton, Jr. age 79, of Plainview, Arkansas (Yell County) passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016.
He was born in Enders, Arkansas, to the late Roger Vaden Hamilton, Sr. and Bronnie Herring Hamilton.
He was a 1954 graduate of Guy-Perkins High School and earned his college degree in History from Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway in 1958.
Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army where he was called up to active duty in 1961 during the Berlin Crisis.
He was in the Army National Guard where he worked as a full time Administrative Technician and he retired after twenty years of service.
Roger retired from working as a Real Estate Appraiser. Roger was a member of Plainview United Methodist Church.
He loved to fish and hunt. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Roger is proceeded in death by his parents and first wife, Patsy Shockley Hamilton.
Roger is survived by his wife, Sharon Bell Hamilton, and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm Thursday June 23, 2016 at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home, Greenbrier, Arkansas
Funeral Service will be at 11:00am Friday June 24, 2016 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Quitman, Arkansas.
