Roland Marty Jones, 66, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2026. He was born in Fremont, California on May 23, 1960, to Roland Lee Jones and Ada Juanita Jones.

Marty was an incredibly intelligent and talented man who had a natural gift for figuring out how things worked and putting things together. He attended Petit Jean Diesel Mechanic School, where he graduated with an associate degree. He enjoyed building and working with his hands, whether he was working on something around the house, assembling models, putting together puzzles, or taking on just about any project that caught his interest. There seemed to be very little he couldn’t figure out how to put together.

Marty had a love for airplanes and dreamed of one day being able to fly. His fascination with aviation was one of the many things that reflected his curiosity and passion for learning. He also loved Star Trek and was a huge science fiction movie fan, always drawn to the imagination and possibilities of the unknown. With his incredible memory, sharp mind, and remarkable intelligence, Marty had a unique way of understanding the world around him.

Above all, Marty was a good son and a good brother who was loved by everyone who knew him. He had a special way of connecting with people, and anyone who had the opportunity to meet him could easily become a friend. His kindness and the relationships he built with others made him someone truly special.

Marty will be remembered for his intelligence, his many talents, his love of building and creating, and the friendships he made throughout his life. He leaves behind precious memories in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roland Lee Jones and Ada Juanita Jones; brother, Billy Long and nephew, Matthew Jones.

Marty is survived by his brothers, Michael (Lori) Jones, Johnnie (Pamela) Jones and David Jones; nieces, Rachel Jones, and Nicole Long; uncles, Lloyd (Wanda) Miller, Billy (Louise) Hall; aunts, Barbara Warren and Roselyn Johnson; and a host of family and friends.
