Ruby Allen Thompson Armstrong passed away on October 22, 2021 at the Greenbrier Nursing Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Formerly of Mountain View, Arkansas, she was 92. She was born November 17, 1928 to Z.R. and Lola Houston Allen in Batesville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband's, Gene "Shorty" Thompson and Roy Armstrong; sons, Oliver Eugene (Geanie) and Bobby Gene; daughter, Maxine (Mackie) Younger; son-in-law, Robert Summerville; brother, Calvin Allen; sister, Lola Jean Allen Milligan; brother-in-law, Logan Branscum; and great great-granddaughter, Brittany Beaucage.
She is survived by a daughter, Carollyn Thompson Summerville of Greenbrier, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Emma Lou Estes Thompson of Benton, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Betty Lumpkin Allen of Batesville, Arkansas; sister, Doris (Wayne) Cole of Happy Valley, Oregon; brother-in-law, George Milligan of Bristol, Tennessee; sister, Betty Allen Branscum of Batesville, Arkansas; sister, Bonnie (Charles Dean) Young of Batesville, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren. She will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
The family wants to thank all the wonderful people at the Greenbrier Nursing Home. We know that she was in the best of hands. We also want to thank Kindred Hospice for her medical care, they were extremely helpful.
