Ruth Ann Miller Williams, age 83, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2026. She was born on January 31, 1943, in Constantine, Michigan, to William “Bill” Miller and Laura Kauffman Miller. She grew up in Michigan with her six siblings before the family eventually moved to Fox, Arkansas.

Ruth first met her husband, Jack Williams, in Conway, Arkansas. They were married in 1966 and shared 40 years together, building a life and raising their two sons, Jack Williams Jr. and James “Jim” Williams. Ruth was a devoted wife, loving mother, and hardworking woman whose life was centered around her family and her faith.

Ruth found joy in sewing and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Granny.” She treasured the time she spent with them and the memories they made together. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and she always made those around her feel loved and cared for.

Ruth was a faithful member of LifeSong Baptist Church, where she began attending when the church was established in 2009. Her faith in the Lord was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and fellowship among her church family.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Williams Sr.; her brothers, Earl Miller and Paul Miller; her sister, Carrie Baumgarner; her grandson, Justin Verser; and brother-in-law, Ken Baumgarner, Don Scmidt.

She is survived by her sons, Jack (Sheila) Williams Jr. of Greenbrier and Jim (Lucy) Williams of Birdtown, Arkansas; her sisters, Maxine Schmidt and Mary Ellen White, both of Grand Haven, Michigan, and Sarah Childers of Mountain View, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kacey Williams, Kori Williams, Avery (Cooper) Holman, Brenna Williams, Joslin Ashley, Perris Ashley, and Westin Ashley; sisters-in-law, Lucille Miller of Timbo, Arkansas, Janice Miller of Rushing, Arkansas; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ruth’s sister, Sarah Childers, for her loving care and support over the last seven months. They also wish to express their deepest gratitude to Richie Pearson, a close family friend, for his continued help and support; and to the many friends from LifeSong Baptist Church who visited and spent time with her while she was homebound. The family is also grateful to Gentiva Hospice for the gentle care, comfort, and compassion provided to Ruth and her loved ones.

Ruth’s love, faith, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched throughout her life.
