Sandra Mann, born September 11, 1944, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away on August 16, 2026, at the age of 81. She was the daughter of Agnes and Charlie Roberts. She lived a life rooted in faith, family, love, and caring for others.

On December 23, 1965, she married James Mann, the love of her life. They shared 47 years of marriage before his passing, building a life and many homes together, and raising a family that would always be the center of Sandra’s world.

Sandra graduated from beauty school and did countless heads of hair throughout her life. If you knew Sandra, there’s a good chance you either sat in her chair or knew someone who did. Her family heard it more times than they could count: “Nobody else can do my hair like Sandra.”

Sandra was a strong Christian woman with a servant’s heart. She loved her family more than anything and spent much of her life caring for the people around her. She cared for loved ones through their final years with patience, strength, and tenderness, never asking for recognition and never expecting anything in return. Taking care of people was simply part of who she was.

She was also a wonderful writer, poet, and storyteller. She could tell a story in a way that made you want to sit and listen, and she left behind pieces of herself in the things she wrote. Her words, her stories, her faith, and the love she poured into her family will remain long after her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, James Mann; her parents, Agnes and Charlie Roberts; and her sister, Christine Leggitt.

She is survived by her children, Tracy Mann, Dori Short, Jamie Robb, and Samantha Davis (Zach); her grandchildren, Charlee Landon, Jesse Mann (Peggy), Ethan Mann, Rusty Jones (Cassie), Scot Jones, Jordan Short, Booker Short, Harley Davis, Gunner Davis, Townes Davis, Katherine Davis, Ace Williamson, and Kannon Mann; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Among the things Sandra left behind was a little sketch with a few lines written in her own hand. For a woman who spent her life writing poems and telling stories, there could be no better words with which to end her own:

“Sandra Charline was a poet

She liked to sit and write

Someday when she’s done

You’ll find this song

And she won’t even know it.”
