Sharlene Cossey
October 8, 1935 — July 5, 2018
Sharlene Cossey lost her battle with Alzheimer’s on July 5, 2018. She was born on October 8,1935 in Viney Grove, AR to Dan and Osaphine Peoples. She was a lifelong resident of Perry County and a charter member of Second Baptist Church in Perryville. She had many talents and interests. She taught herself to crochet and loved gospel and bluegrass music. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 19 years at CHDC. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Sharlene is preceded in death by her father Dan Peoples, and Son in Law Curt Skinner. She is survived by her mother Osaphine Peoples, her husband of 65 years, Bill Cossey, A niece she helped raise Robbie Hamilton. Children Pam Reynolds (Raymond), Randy Cossey (Donna), and Karen Stone (James). Grandchildren Emily Cossey, Kevin Reynolds, Luke Stone and Shannon Stone. Siblings Doyle Peoples (Pat), Allene Tolleson (Ralph), and Elaine Williams (Leroy) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11am with visitation one-hour prior on July 7, 2018 at Second Baptist Church in Perryville Burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery.
