Like Dolly Parton, more was always more for Sharon. She could never have too many decorations, makeup products, or shoes. Even with just one leg, she had a shoe collection most would envy. There was nowhere she couldn’t be noticed. Sharon was like a rhinestone cowgirl…even in an auto mechanic shop.
Hot lips or Sharona, as she called herself, was legit. Always on hand were two way overly sized bags- one a purse, and one just for lipstick. Her energy was undeniable, and to know her, was to love her… and if it didn’t have shoulder pads, she wasn’t interested. Nothing says Sharon, like a 4 am trip to Shipleys, and falling asleep eating cereal most mornings on Lake Conway. She could turn a broom closet into a dance floor, and she knew how to give a man a boost of confidence. Sharon never checked the mail without her makeup on. She had a larger-than-life personality and never met a stranger. She loved her kids and grandkids more than anything, she never missed a ball game, party, or vacation. Everybody was known as HUN to her, and she never met a man she didn’t find goodlooking. Sharon was always watching a football game or a baseball game, she didn’t sweat, she sparkled, and being a mom and a GiGi was the greatest joy of her life. Sharon never saw a diamond she wouldn’t wear, or a shade of lipstick she wouldn’t try. She could never watch enough BET and The Bachelor, and “Always Be Sweet” is what she said before hanging up the phone.
Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the Perryville Nursing & Rehab Center. The care that mom received was so wonderful, and we want to thank each and every employee for their great care and always treating us like family.
There will be a visitation in Sharon’s honor on Friday, November 1st, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
