Shawn Matthew Lawson

Shawn Matthew Lawson, 40, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2026. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on April 21, 1985, to Billy Dale Lawson and Renee Bootz Lawson.

Shawn passed away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, adventure, and deep love for his family. A 2003 graduate of Greenbrier High School, Shawn built a life rooted in determination and dedication. As the owner of Lawson Contracting, he took pride in being self-employed and worked tirelessly alongside his father to provide for and support his family.

Shawn had a fearless spirit and a love for adventure. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, camping under the open sky, playing in the snow, and anything that brought a little adrenaline rush. If it was fast or a little risky, Shawn was all in. He had a special appreciation for his guns and enjoyed admiring and collecting them.

He was the kind of man who tried to help anyone and everyone he could. Even when he didn’t have time, he made the time. If someone needed help and he wasn’t sure how to fix it, he would figure it out. Shawn was a problem-solver by nature and never hesitated to step in when someone needed him.

Above all else, Shawn loved his family. He worked hard so they would have what they needed, and he cherished the time he spent with them. Whether it was a simple evening together or an outdoor adventure, being with his loved ones meant everything to him.

Shawn will be remembered for his bold spirit, his strong work ethic, his generous heart, and the deep love he had for his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Billy Park Lawson, Shirley Wages, Andrew Bootz, and Doris Jean Bootz.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Lawson; one son, Caden Lawson; father, Billy (Dawn) Lawson; mother, Renee Lawson; four sisters, Amber Clark, Natasha (Chris) Adkins, Chalice (Richard) Cotton, and Charlene (Matt) Pike; stepsisters, Lillian Brisson, and Amiela Brisson; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 6:00pm on February 20, 2026, at Wilcox Family Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior with Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating.
