Sherwin Lynn Hill

Sherwin Lynn Hill, 65 of Shady Grove, Arkansas entered into his eternal rest with God on May 12th, 2023. He was born in Conway, Arkansas on December 14, 1957 to Sherman and Floy Mae Hill.
He attended Greenbrier High School. He retired from Arkansas Department of Corrections after 32 years. He was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, playing music, woodworking, gardening, and taking care of his animals. Lynn married Nelda on December 29, 1981, they were inseparable best-friends, forever soulmates. They raised two beloved daughters Sara and Jamie. For the last 19 years he devoted himself to instilling the love of the Lord in his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Flo Mae Hill and his brother, Sam Hill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Nelda Hill; children, Sara (Don) Kelly and Jamie (Nathan) Cardin; grandchildren, Tucker Cardin, Carlie Cardin, Aubrey Cardin, Hayden Hill, Autumn Pettey, and Brione Kelly; sisters, Brenda (Danny) Whitfield and Sandra (J.R.) Barnett; sister-in-law, Mona Hill; and a host of nieces nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating and burial following to Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Shawn Hill, Dean Hargrove, Tucker Cardin, Hayden Hill, Nathan Cardin, Don Kelly, and Robbie Hill.
