Shirley Smart

Shirley Ann Smart, 72, of Wooster passed away on January 30, 2018. Shirley was born on October 25, 1945 to Wendell Holliman and Edith Marie Barnum Holliman in Quitman, Arkansas. Shirley worked for St. Andrews Nursing Home in Conway for 37 years as a C.N.A. Shirley was a very caring person and got great joy from caring for the elderly which she continued to do after her retirement, taking care of older people and their families in her community. Shirley was very strong in her faith and never had a harsh word to say about anyone. Shirley was known for her kindness and big heart. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Wendell and Edith. Shirley is survived by her loving husband Floyd Smart, her seven children, Kathy Newton, Terri (Sean) McCrary, Karen James, Ricky Maxwell, Debbie Maxwell, Shawn (Jessica) Smart, and Michael Smart, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren with one on the way, and one great great grandchild on the way as well. A visitation for Shirley will be held at Bishop-Crites Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm on Friday, February 2, 2018. Shirley's funeral service will be on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at LifeSong Baptist Church in Greenbrier at 10am with Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster following the service.
