Thad Harvey, 74, of 47 North Broadview, died on February 15,
2012 in Greenbrier, Arkansas.

He was born September 5, 1937, in Wooster, Arkansas a son of the
late Calvin Harvey and Bertha Harvey Burchfield.

He was raised in Conway, graduating from Conway High
School.  He married Betty Kirby on June 15, 1957.  Thad's
first job was with Arkla Gas and Oil Company which led to a
lifelong passion for antique oil and gas memorabilia.  He held
several positions in the construction and small business industry
and was the Owner of Harvey's Antiques and "The Good Sport"
sporting goods store.  He was an avid antique collector and
re-seller and was well-known as an expert "Junker" in his business
circles.

Thad was very proud of his Indian heritage and at one time, had
one of the most extensive private arrowhead and artifact
collections in the State.  He loved to go arrowhead hunting
along the riverbanks and fields of rural Faulkner County and seldom
came back empty handed.  He enjoyed helping people and had a
deep love and respect for all animals.

He was a member of LifeSong Baptist Church, in Greenbrier and
loved his church family and "the preacher" (as he referred to
Brother Freddie Mark Wilcox).

Survivors include his wife, Betty Kirby Harvey; a son, Rocky
Lynn Harvey of Greenbrier, AR, a daughter, Carmen Beth Hercher of
Memphis, TN, a sister, Margaret Shell of Batesville, AR, a
half-sister, Shelby Jean Burchfield Wilcox of Pleasant Valley, AR
and three grandchildren.  Thad was preceded in death by his
brother, Wayland Harvey.

Visitation will be at Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home in Greenbrier
from 9am to 8pm on Friday, February 17th with family
receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm. A graveside service will be
held on Saturday, February 18th at 11:00am at Pleasant Valley
Cemetery with Bro. Freddie Mark Wilcox and Bro. Jordan Henry
officiating.

The family wants to express their sincere gratitude to
Greenbrier Nursing Home and Rehab and Arkansas Hospice for the
loving care that they showed Thad.
