Victor Herbert Ball, Sr., 86, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2026. He was born on March 15, 1940, in Paterson, New Jersey. Victor loved the Lord and sought to live his life as a reflection of his relationship with the Lord. He loved his wife deeply through their 58 years of marriage. He faithfully served alongside his wife in cleaning the Church of the Nazarene in Greenbrier. He was always willing to help those who needed help. He loved his church, Victory Baptist Church in Conway, and faithfully served as deacon in the church, all for the glory of God.
He loved his family and was proud of his sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends. He loved spending time with his grandkids, especially at Christmas. When it came to his grandchildren, much like it was with his wife, every day that he got to spend with them was the best day ever for both them and him, especially when it involved trains or going to eat at Burger King or McDonald’s.
Victor loved his country, and instilled pride in his four sons for our Great Nation. Victor served in the armed forces as an Airman 1st Class in the Air Force. During his tour of duty in the Air Force he was stationed at San Antonio, TX; Biloxi, MS; Little Rock, AR; Zaragoza, Spain; and McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. A highlight of his Air Force tour of duty was getting to meet the famous Hollywood actor Don Amiche while on leave during Christmas of 1958. His greatest highlight was when he was stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base and met the love of his life, Paulette Brown. They started off as pen pals where love blossomed and the two were wed in September of 1966. They remained faithfully in love with each other until Paulette’s passing in March of 2025.
Victor is preceded in death by his wife, Paulette Ball; pa rents, Lewis and Sarah Ball; brothers, Harold Ball, Vernon Ball, and Virgil Ball; sisters, Lorraine Gregory and Regina McDermott; grandson, Brenden Ball; brothers-in-law, Jim Gregory, Fred McDermott, George Brown, Jim Brown, and Jim O’Quinn; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Brown and Judy O’Quinn; and cousin, Kathy “Aunt Sugar” Haring.
Victor is survived by his four sons, Victor Herbert (Satina) Ball Jr., Jesse Lewis (Dana) Ball, Gordon H. (Melissa) Ball, Richard P. (Chrystal) Ball; grandchildren, Braden Ball, Brylen Ball, Peyton Ball, Emma Ball, Alexis Ball, Derek Ball, Ethan Ball, Logan Ball, Jonathan Ball; sister-in-law, Sherry Brown; best friends, Connie Ferguson, Cliff Ferguson; Kaitlyn Fulton, and Amy Shumaker; and a host of nieces, nephews, “adopted” grandchildren, and friends.
